Songs are well canned. The beautiful locations and the shooting in the original rain are effective and are major plus points to the film. Sekhar.V. Josephs deserves two cheers. Music by Kamalakar is fine. On the whole, Vaana has unconvincing storyline and lacks the mark of M S Raju's movies. Read More

Vinay is cast well for the role, and though a little stiff at times, he shows promise. It is completely wasted, because the dialogues in the climax belong to 1948, whereas the dude's from here and now. Meera Chopra is okay, but shares no chemistry with Vinay even when she has to. Read More

Screenplay by MS Raju is a highlight. Being a remake, MS Raju's work has become a little easy in directing a film as he was able to mould the scenes one after the other by watching the original. Paruchuri Brothers did a good job in scripting dialogues as well. Read More

Jayasudhas mother-role is commendable. The way how her characterization is made to react to the love-pangs of her son is superb. Naresh performance as heros father is good and he also contributes his share to the comedy department. Read More
